Archery Doesn’t Discriminate.

It is a universal sport. Meaning, it doesn’t favor race, sex, age, color, creed, physical ability, or inability.

Archers USA Foundation is committed to encouraging archers to grow beyond their initial education of archery as it helps to build self-esteem, confidence, and sportsmanship through organized teams.

We also encourage archers to pursue hunting which in turn supports state conservation, supports local archery businesses, and supports communities.

If you’re interested in getting Varsity Archery in your school, please feel free to reach out to us. Our partners have generously provided funding for schools to implement advanced archery into their curriculum.

Progress

Currently, Archers USA Foundation has implemented a pilot program with North Dakota, Oklahoma, Arizona, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Just recently adding on the states of Kansas and Montana. With ten schools in each state (with the exception of Oklahoma sporting 59 schools) we are equipping with advanced archery equipment from Archers USA to help in the training process. By the end of the school year (where applicable), archers will have learned how to shoot a bow, receive their state’s hunter ed card, and be able to go on a mentored hunt.

Archery Manufacturers Conservation

It Takes a Village

We’re in on this together.

Pre-Covid, manufacturers were starting to feel the squeeze of declining archery sales. The sport needed a booster shot if manufacturers were going to survive.  The majority were looking for ways to improve customer’s attitude towards archery, hunting and other outdoor activities.

Recently, due to Covid-19 inconjunctions with the laws prohibiting social gatherings, manufacturers are finding themselves swamped with orders trying to fulfill the need of outdoor activities. While the majority of the archery business is thriving,  will be short-lived. Once restrictions are lifted, people will resume their lives, archery could once again fall to the wayside.

It is imperative that we take action now to help encourage archers to use advanced equipment. Once they are trained on how to use a sight, release, stabilizer, and peep-sight etc. they will have a greater knowledge of the accessories that keep our manufacturing jobs relevant. It will take the involvement of all manufacturers to show their support in educating our youth about advanced archery in order to maintain their businesses for future generations.

Conservation is everything.

The R3 Initiative is a program put on by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Its purpose is to help steward America’s natural resources. The stewardship is all about conservation. One way to achieve this type of stewardship is by implementing a program that promotes sportsmanship and recreation.

Recruit. At Archers USA Foundation, we live and breathe all things archery. Our goal is to make any new archers successful in their first experience with archery and to reduce less successful instinctive shooting process. Our goal is to make our reach to anyone, regardless of ability, to make them a successful archer!

Retain. We’re aware of the difficulty that comes with learning to shoot a bow. It takes patience, practice and a driving spirit. We’re also aware that in order to retain archers, there has to be some sort of immediate satisfaction, otherwise the new archer could get bored and never pick up a bow up again. We’re not willing to lose even one!

Reactivate. Some archers have started down the right track of archery but have left the sport due to being unsuccessful or finding a new activity they enjoy more due to their success in it. By reaching out to State and Game agencies, we’re able to participate in programs to reinstate lapsed recreationists get back into the sport of archery!
